A Thought

They say it takes rain to appreciate the sun.
Well, it takes pain to appreciate none.

  1. Amen! Pain can be a huge blessing.

  2. Joel:
    that's true.
    why do we forget?

  3. Howdy Joel!
Yeah! that is a fantastic realization. I grew up in the culture that expresses it this way. "If it were not for the rocks in the road our feet would become flabby!!"

  4. True words... We're glad you're feeling better!

  5. Wow Joel! I guess you are at camp Cherokee right now enjoying the face of the great moose to the sound of kid's voices! I am missing in more and more. I hope I get a chance to come up and visit. How's the driveway by the way!? I'm praying for you.

  6. John, I was wondering about that too the other day. Why is it, that when the sun is shining, it's hard to imagine anything else, and when it's raining, one must struggle to picture the sunshine? I think we humans really have short memories.

Brian, we'd love to have you, and miss you greatly. I'm in Lakeview this year, counseling with Teddy! We have a week of campmeeting and then camp starts this coming sunday. How are you doing?
